The Heineken Cup continues tomorrow and Sky Bet are offering 5/2 for an English club to lift this year’s title. Last year saw Munster win the competition for Ireland and it’s 3/1 for an Irish team to lift the trophy. France are even money favourites to provide the winner. Three-time winners, Toulouse are 4/1 to go one better than last year and take the European title with fellow French side, Stade Francais, who have played two and won two in Pool 4, also 4/1. Defending champions Munster are 5/1 to become the second team in the history of the competition to win back-to-back titles and Leicester lead the way for the English clubs at 10/1.
After being thumped 41-11 to Leinster, Wasps will be hoping to bounce back against Edinburgh in Pool 2. Wasps, who are tied on four points with their opposition, are evens to come out on top and 10/11 to win with a handicap start of +1 point. Sale Sharks will be aiming to close the gap on Munster at the top of Pool 1 when they entertain Montauban. Sale, who have won one and lost one, are 10/11 to beat Montauban with a handicap start of -18 points and are 7/2 to run out winners of Pool 1.
In Pool 6, leaders Cardiff take on Biarritz, who beat Calvisano last time out and it’s 10/11 for the Welsh side to come out on top with a handicap start of -9 points and 1/2 for Cardiff to go on to win their respective pool. The final match tomorrow evening sees Ulster take on the Scarlets and it’s 4/7 for Ulster to make home advantage pay and run out eventual winners and 10/11 for Ulster to win with a handicap start of -4 points.
