After cruising through the final stage of the European Qualifying School, Danny Willett, the former world number one ranked amateur, is 7/2 with Sky Bet to win a European Tour event in the 2009 season. He is a 40/1 shot to win two or more events and quoted at 14/1 to finish in the top 10 of the Race to Dubai Money List.
Willett’s close friend and former amateur colleague, Chris Wood, who placed fifth at this year’s Open Championship, also sailed through final qualifying and is even money to finish higher on the Race to Dubai Money List than Willet (8/11). Wood is priced at 9/2 to win on the European Tour in 2009 and is 16/1 to finish in the top 10 of the Race to Dubai Money List.
